Karla Read (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, 1988).   Her work is moved by the ambiguity inherent in our human nature.  Using the human body as the main tool, Read’s photographs seek to make this ambiguity present through subtleties that naturally collide; beauty and awkwardness, innocence and sexuality, dislocated subject and context.
